Why I created Francis Health
I’m Edith Declan, a Research Nurse Practitioner and founder of Francis Health.
I also know IVF from the patient’s side. I have personally navigated two successful IVF journeys, and those experiences shaped how I think about deciding to pursue it, preparing, communicating, and getting support.
Even with a healthcare background, being an IVF patient gave me a different perspective.
Understanding medical terminology did not remove the emotional weight of waiting, making decisions, organizing appointments, and managing daily life around treatment.
I created Francis Health to bring those two perspectives together: healthcare knowledge and lived experiences.
My Approach
I help you organize what you have been told, understand general IVF terminology and processes, prepare questions, and work through practical details.
We focus on what you need for your next appointment or decision, at a pace that makes the information manageable.
Your fertility team remains responsible for diagnosis, treatment recommendations, medication instructions, and medical monitoring.
